Hi, I’m Grace

Arrow pointing right

I started True Story because I love stories and I hate bullshit.

I’m a story person at heart—both telling and listening.

Storytelling has been a natural fit with communications, but I’ve never been wild about the bullshit aspect of the business.

The buzz words, the hype, the need to sound like “more” than just a human has always annoyed me, and in every position I’ve been in I find a way to just NOT do it.

And here’s what I’ve found: keeping it real is enough. In fact it’s exactly right.

About me

I grew up in northern California where I read every book I could get my hands on, and made up elaborate stories complete with illustrations.

These days I live in Burlington, Vermont, along with two semi-feral children. I enjoy slow-water paddling, road-tripping, and trying to use most of the vegetables from our CSA.

Oh and I still love to read, write my own stories, and draw.
